Paul sought to ease the Thessalonians' concerns about the great day of the Lord. Some wrong beliefs had taken hold and Paul addressed these by explaining the events that will precede Christ’s return. In sum, God is just and true, and the devil is a deceiver. Some follow Christ, but many remain under satanic deception. Do not be shaken by a rumor that the day of the Lord is upon you. That event will not arrive before the coming of the Apostasy and the man of lawlessness. Lies, deceit, and confusion about the Lord’s return are always a possibility, and they are due to satanic plots. Believe in Jesus today and be saved!
