The Obedient King

In a culture that prizes shortcuts and self-made religion, people are still searching for something that truly satisfies God. However, God desires obedience over ritual, and the psalmist declares his delight to do God's will, trusting Him for deliverance. In the NT, Jesus delighted to do the Father's will, fulfilling what sacrifices could never accomplish. David's obedience was partial; Christ's obedience was perfect (Heb. 10:5-10).
